When we think about reasons of why people skate, a lot of answers comes to mind. Athleticism, form of expression, freedom… We can agree that skateboarding is all of those previous things and much more, being a lifestyle for the ones that are passioned about it.

Skating it’s Not Just Learning Tricks

Skateboarding becomes a way of life when you realize it’s more than a physical activity, it is a way of thinking and living. Some skaters will start assembling their own boards, customizing in order to feel it just how they want. The board becomes part of the skater, a representation of it’s owner and of the culture itself. The skaters also have their own original style in clothing, so unique that big brands like Vans and Converse have turned their fashion into a whole sales line.

Skaters have an "I’ll do what I want" mentality, and we can say that skateboarding is all about that, being independent, with a thinking mentality that calls out to creative people to express themselves through skating. For a skater all streets and parks are meant to be used, you just have to choose the right one, it doesn’t matter where you are, what the weather is, skating it’s part of your everyday basis and you can be proud about it.
