Skater Profile: Chris Joslin

Age: 23
Status: Pro
Current hometown: Hawaiian Gardens, CA
Stance: Regular
Instagram: @chrisjoslin_
Born 3rd of October 1996 Joslin was introduced to skateboarding by his older brother and first hopped on a skateboard at age two and some could say that skateboarding saved this kids life. Growing up in really tough circumstances, he never knew his father and was raised by his grandmother since his mother was dealing with addiction issues when he was at a very young age.
Growing up in Hawaiian Gardens, California, Joslin spent the most part of his teenage years in skate parks, where he developed the skills that were going to get him to the first spots in contests in the next decade.
By 2014 he had already earned a spot in Plan B’s Skateboarding Team and was featured in long-awaited film TRUE, where he showcased some of the craziest tricks in the video like a big spin down Barcelona’s MACBA gap, an inward heelflip at the Lincoln set in San Francisco and a 360 flip down the UC Davis gap! Wich pretty much made him one of the most noticeable figures of the film that introduced him to the world while being only 17 years old. He was also nominated 2016’s Thrasher Magazine‘s Skater of the year.

2016 was one of the best years in Joslin’s career as he kept on making the podium by getting the 3rd place in the Tampa Pro Qualifiers in 2016, gaining the 1st place in the Zappos Rideshop Series in the same year.
He has also been a prominent skateboarder in the X games by having 4 medals in the competition getting the gold in the Austin X Games in 2016 and 1 silver( 2019) and 2 bronze (2017-2018 consecutively)

The Future for Joslin

He Left some of the crazy party lifestyle behind, is currently married and is a skate dad of a beautiful dudette! Recently released his second PRO shoe collab with Etnies called the “Joslin 2” which features an updated Michelin Fiber Lite outsole and ultra-durable shoe construction, a rubber underlay beneath the vamp and toe cap, Pro foam 1 insole, optional lace holes for even more protection, AND each pair comes with a Joslin-autographed box!
Joslin is a clear example of what people call “a natural” and we are pretty sure will be hearing home nice SHIT® from this dude in the future!
